How long have you been a hair and make-up artist?
I have over 20 years experience in hair and make-up for editorial, fashion shoots and weddings. I twice won best Wella newcomer when completing my hair training.
I feel confident in being able to offer you exactly what you want. Many years of experience has provided me with the skills to hone my bridal package to exactly what you require. I take pride in working with you to ensure you are happy.

What can you give me that other stylists cannot?
I can assure you my main purpose is to make sure you are beyond happy. I ensure all brides know they can be honest with me throughout our time together. I am not offended at all if something doesn’t feel right and you want to change it, let’s work together to create the exact look you are dreaming of... this is YOUR special day, I’m so honoured to be apart of it.
I also have a steamer you can borrow for the men’s shirts or bridesmaids dresses should you wish to use it, I have a box of treasures; modesty tape, stick on gems for earrings, biodegradable glitter for the flower girls, and a bag of hair accessories for that last minute panic when you realise you left your accessories at home or should you feel you or a guest needs a little something extra.
I am a stylist for an online magazine and have everything you could need and more. If you are having trouble finding something that you need, please get in touch with me and I am sure that I can help you out.

Do you specialise in wedding hair and make-up?
I have completed courses in fashion photographic makeup, SFX as well as bridal. I will use my knowledge and over 20 years experience to give you the bridal look that you desire.

Should I have a trial? How long will the trial take?
Yes, I suggest a trial when possible as there are so many options available to you. I love to show brides different looks and techniques we can use on the day. A trial will give you the opportunity to communicate exactly what type of make-up look you want for your wedding day. You will get to see first-hand how I work which is great to put your mind at rest and also to make the most of your experience.
That said some brides choose not to have a trial and this is fine too, as I just ensure we have a thorough consultation before your special day.
The more looks you want to try, the more time the trial will require, I allocate one and a half hours for either a hair or make-up trial and three hours for both. If it is required to take any longer, the cost is €50 per hour thereafter.
I suggest you wear a white top for the trial and bring all jewellery and hair accessories to give you an idea of how your skin will look next to your dress on your special day.

Will you travel to me? And do you have any specific space requirements for the trial and wedding day?
I will come to you. I will need plug points and natural light where possible. I do have a light ring I bring along just in case we need to use it. We may need to communicate with your wedding venue, in case they need to provide a space for us on the day.

How long will make-up take on the day?
We will work together before your wedding to create a schedule for you and your bridal party. I like to make sure brides have enough time to relax and have some photos with friends before putting the dress on. I want you to enjoy your wedding morning and not feel rushed and panicked at any point. After all, it is all about you and your loved ones enjoying the special moments of the big day.

Will you bring your own products or will I be responsible for supplying them?
I will bring my full kit with me, I have a box full of treasure... however, should you have anything specific you want me to use then I am happy to use your products too. If you have specific brands or products you never stray from, or if you have allergies to certain ingredients, using your own products may be the safest bet.

Should I buy a lipstick?
I always say yes to this. It is nice for you to know you can top up your lips throughout the day with your chosen colour, there will be plenty of kisses being given I’m sure! I do have a big selection of lipsticks, some long lasting which are fantastic and last up to eight hours.

Will a fake tan affect my make-up?
I will make sure I come prepared with the correct colours and shades to blend in your tan.

Do you recommend eyelashes?
Yes, lashes are fantastic at finishing off your look. There are so many options; wispy lashes, lustrous thick strip lashes, individual lashes or clusters can all be applied on the day to finish off your desired look. It is also a great idea to get individual permanent lashes applied. They last six weeks and mean you look fantastic for everyday of your celebrations. It is important to research your lash technician before your day. A trial run with lashes is also a great idea.

Should I wash my hair on the day?
We will discuss the best option for you when you have your consultation.

Should I wear hair extensions?
Extensions retain the curls well in the heat, they also add extra thickness to those ‘up do’ styles. Together we will find the best option for you.

How long will you be staying for on the day?
I will stay with you until everyone is happy and ready to leave for the ceremony. I always make sure all clients know I am approachable so they can be completely honest with me at all times. I will not be offended if you want to change anything... I just want you to be happy and I will not leave until you are.
You also have the option of make-up touch ups in the evening should you want to experience the full pamper package.

What will happen if you can’t make it on my wedding day?
I work with many reputable and professional artists who I trust completely to make sure you would look flawless on your wedding day. I’ve not missed a booking in over 20 years, however it’s always good to have a contingency plan.

Do you have a team of assistants or will you be the only artist that day?
We will work together to decide what is best for you. Depending on the size of your bridal party, sometimes I may bring along another stylist to work with me on the booking.
